ASH-PIT BULLY FIGHT FOUNDATION

ASH-PIT BULLY FIGHT FOUNDATION (ASH-PBFF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
PURPOSE/MISSION
ASH-PBFF will serve as an extension to local shelters and rescue organizations, to provide much-needed resources that are currently very limited. ASH-PBFF will also provide assistance to individual dog owners that need help rehoming their dog. We have learned that rescues and shelters are overwhelmed and unable to assist dog owners and communities with different and unique challenges they each face. Rescue organizations have limited resources available to assist the number of dogs that need help. Most are foster-based and shelters are often full. Dogs can be  fragile, shy, frightened and are often inappropriately identified as aggressive making it not suitable to be placed into foster care immediately. Behavior assessments are often not accurate because the dogs are evaluated in a stressful environment, not able to relax and therefore show false readings of their behavior.  The challenges that rescue organizations face are becoming increasingly harder, limiting the number of dogs that can be saved.

VISION
ASH-PBFF will assist individual dog owners, communities and rescue organizations with programs that are currently limited, unavailable or operated out of the networks.  It is our vision to lend a helping hand to those most in need, by serving, sharing and bringing resources together to make a larger impact. Some of the programs we offer:

ASH-PBFF - Community Program - will assist the public and individual dog owners by providing quality care and a sanctuary until a loving home can be found.

(Owner surrender)
ASH-PBFF - Rescue Program - will partner with local rescue and shelter organizations and help place dogs in loving, responsible, committed temporary homes, following a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about responsible dog ownership and the cost associated with bringing a dog into their family and lives.

ASH-PBFF -Education and workshop programs -  educate the public by providing vital information about the various stages of adopting a rescue dog and how to eliminate potential problems. In these workshops, we will explain the importance of forming a trusting relationship, decompression stage, and the do’s and don’ts when interacting with at-risk dogs.

ASH-PBFF - Alliance Program - will consult with shelter staff and volunteers to provide guidance during and before the adoption process sharing valuable tools of how to make the first initial contact and explain proper dog/human introduction.

ASH-PBFF - Housing Program - will provide resources for landlord issues, Example... breed or weight restriction and high deposit amounts.

ASH-PBFF - Senior Program - will assist seniors with the care of their beloved pet in emergency situations such as financial burdens, offering to supply pet food. The senior program will offer a sanctuary for pets in need due to hospitalization, or death.

ASH-PBFF - Low Income Program - will allow pet owners to receive training for their dogs at a low rate or for free via sponsorships.
ASH-PBFF - Homeless Program - will assist the homeless population with dogs by offering food and basic health/medical assistance for dogs.

ASH-PBFF - Vacation Program - will allow dog owners with limited resources to board their dog during a vacation to reduce the rate of abandoned dogs during the summer months.
